Read the requirement for your account

Google's published requirement applies to personal developer accounts created after November 13, 2023. Those accounts need at least 12 testers continuously opted in for 14 days before applying for production access. Consult your account dashboard and the official source below before planning dates.

Track the right milestone

An invitation sent is not an opt-in completed. Keep your outreach list separate from the eligibility state shown by Play Console. When a participant says they joined, confirm that they used the intended Google account and correct test path; avoid collecting passwords or unnecessary account details.

Leave room for review

Meeting the participation threshold allows an application, not automatic publication. Use the waiting period to assemble feedback and release notes. Communicate an estimated launch window to your team rather than promising a public release at the exact end of testing.
