Count the work before comparing prices
List outreach, access troubleshooting, reminders, triage, and retesting as separate tasks. Estimate how much of your own time each could require. A free volunteer group can still require substantial coordination; a paid package may still leave engineering and review preparation with you.
Use your own break-even calculation
As an illustrative calculation, three hours valued at ten dollars per hour represents thirty dollars of internal time. That does not establish any provider's value. Compare the package's actual deliverables with the tasks it removes, and include work you must still perform.
Check terms alongside the total
Read current pricing and confirm tester coverage, duration, reporting, and support responsibilities. Ask what happens if access fails or participation changes. Decide using the total expected effort and service scope rather than the cheapest headline price.
